Scott Williams

Chief Executive Officer

AS CEO of the newly formed AMCA Australia, Scott is focused on strong team culture that positions members at the core of everything we do. Having started several companies throughout his career, Scott understands the challenges facing business, and in his previous role as chief executive of the Fire Protection Association successfully executed a national strategy while strengthening local member engagement.  Outside of work, Scott runs a small hobby farm in Victoria where he enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys. 

Angela Olsen

State Manager | QLD

Angela joins the AMCA team after more than a decade of advocating for the building industry at the Housing Industry Association.  With a construction law background, Angela has extensive experience in construction contracts, dispute resolution and contract administration.   
Having worked in both industry roles and private practice law, Angela has both a technical and practical viewpoint for all aspects of construction law. Away from work, Angela’s young family—including husband Ben and sons Harry and Max—keep her active.

Larry Odgers

State Manager | WA

As Executive Director of Western Australia, Larry is responsible for member engagement and government relations. Larry joins the AMCA after a long career in the HVAC and refrigeration industry spanning numerous senior roles over five decades. Larry’s contemporary industry knowledge and experience will help inform all AMCA activities, not just in Western Australia but right around the country.

Brendan Upton

Senior Consultant – BIM-MEPAUS

As the Senior Technical Consultant for our BIM-MEPAUS initiative, Brendan brings to AMCA Australia over 20 years’ experience in upskilling teams and assisting organisations and individuals with digital transformation and implementing Building Information Modelling (BIM). This involves implementing BIM standards, procedures and training and promoting the appropriate use of BIM software for staff across different disciplines and multiple projects. Outside of work Brendan enjoys playing/listening to music and spending time with his wife & three kids.

 


 

Grace Cue

Workplace Relations Advisor

As an employment lawyer, Grace helps members navigate the tricky terrain of the workplace relations system. Recognising that risks are best avoided, Grace takes a proactive approach to issues and prides herself on providing clear and actionable strategies across various employment and human resources topics. When problems do arise, though, Grace gets great satisfaction from supporting businesses during stressful times. 

Kalli Ercegovic

Training Administrator

With a background in administration, human resources and customer service, Kalli is a natural people person who has a passion for supporting others. Whether dealing with an office order, assisting a colleague or fielding a membership enquiry, Kalli's positive and no-fuss approach is infectious in the workplace. Outside of work, Kalli loves nothing more than having a laugh with her family and friends. 

Ben Hawkins

Policy and Communications Manager

As policy and communications manager, Ben is responsible for government relations and strategic communication initiatives. Since joining the AMCA, he has developed a deep appreciation for the challenges facing industry and enjoys working closely with members to identify areas where the AMCA can make a real impact. Ben has a keen interest in elite sports organisations but spends most of his time soaking up the early years of his two girls. 

Mark Johnstone

Database and Systems Administrator

As Data and Systems Administrator, Mark is helping us to radically improve our membership engagement using technology. Drawing upon lessons learned while working with a diverse range of associations over more than three decades, Mark is passionate about delivering a better user experience and enjoys helping teammates get their work out to members more quickly and effectively. Outside work Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenage kids.

Andrew Kendt

Corporate Services Manager

As Corporate Services Manager, Andrew is responsible for finance and overseeing the best use of member funds. With over twenty years industry association experience, Andrew understands the importance of supporting the team by providing timely and relevant information to assist in making the right decisions. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys getting outdoors and helping out at his wife’s café.

Marie Meachen

Membership services

Marie coordinates our training and events program in both Queensland and New South Wales. With a background in accounts and payroll, Marie enjoys the closer contact with members that the role provides and gets satisfaction from playing a part in the career development of our members' staff.  


Amanda Searle

Events Manager

Amanda oversees and coordinates all our major events, including the National Conference, Construction Innovation Forum, and Training Awards. Having worked in marketing and event management her entire working life, Amanda loves to see the smile on people's faces when a well-planned event comes to life. When Amanda isn't playing taxi to three children, she enjoys travelling and exploring new places with her husband. 

Alana Musolino

National Events Coordinator | SA

Based in South Australia, and coordinating all AMCA Australia events, Alana’s talent and dedication to the role provides seamless execution to any event. Whether it's a golf day, awards dinner, networking lunch, or an information session, she loves the dynamic nature of event management and that no two days are the same.  Outside of work, you'll find Alana staying active or spending time with family and friends.  

Shannon Thomas

Executive Manager, BIM-MEPAUS

As the leader of our BIM-MEPAUS initiative, Shannon is helping to keep AMCA members at the forefront of digital innovation in the construction industry. Drawing upon his experience in automotive engineering, Shannon is passionate about how digitalised workflows and integrated process improvement methodologies such as six sigma and lean construction can help improve members' productivity and profitability. Outside of work, Shannon keeps fit in between spending time with his young family and chipping away at home renovations. 

Laura Steedman

Special Projects

After more than a decade managing the AMCA Training Department, Laura is now focused on strategic projects that can have a lasting impact. Drawing upon qualifications in engineering, project management, training and assessing, Laura has a proven record of delivering big projects. After setting up the AMCA as a registered training organisation, she was instrumental in delivering two state-of-the-art training facilities, as well as numerous course development projects and strategic partnerships. Outside of work, Laura runs marathons. We've lost count of how many.

National Training Manager

As the National RTO Manager, John comes to AMCA Australia with extensive experience in the Vocational Education & Training (VET) industry working across multiple sectors. John is passionate about Learning & Development and strives to continually improve the methodology of how someone learns best. In an RTO environment, there is always a challenge awaiting. In his personal life, John enjoys playing soccer and spending time with his young family and friends.
